Monte Maxwell, Legislative Reporter for the Dominion News, Morgantown
ACCE members met at the State Capitol. Senators Plymale and Oliverio each scheduled time to meet with the ACCE. Members distributed the Legislative Information Brochure 2001 to the senators and other legislators they spoke with.
There was discussion about the possibility of having a lobbyist and what the options might be for compensation.
Additional legislative contacts and attendance at committee meetings were planned for the afternoon.
MINUTES
Drafts of the minutes of the January 23, 2001 meeting were distributed, but approval was postponed until the next meeting.
MEETING WITH SENATOR JACKSON
Senator Lloyd Jackson has arranged to meet with ACCE members on Tuesday, March 20, 2001 at 5 PM in the Senate Finance Committee Room.
NEXT MEETING
The next ACCE meeting will be on Wednesday, March 21, 2001, at 9 AM. There was a discussion about the possibility of getting a block of rooms at the Hampton Inn and meeting there if they would provide space. Ms. Vingle will look into that arrangement. Otherwise, the site will be MUGC, or WV State as a backup.
